Jott.com is primarily a free voice to text service currently. You can call a number and then it will end an email and txt message to any contact you have verbally chosen.

You can also use Jott to make lists. Send a message to yourself so you can see it in your inbox. Then move your cursor over it and an orange tab will appear.
Then drag them into the list column. Now you can sort them and check them off as you have completed the items on the list.
A second way to add an item to the list is by emailing
jott@jott.com with the name of your list in the subject and the item you wan to add in the body of the email. Jott.com also has an iphone version of their site where you can see your messages and lists.
Another thing you can do with Jott is set reminders. You can go to Jott.com on a computer and type a message into the add jott text box and the add reminder link will appear. After typing the reminder click add reminder to save it.
You can call the jott number instead of going to the website. You would tell it you want a reminder and it would ask for the date, time, and subject. It will now send you a text message 15 minutes before the event to remind you.
You can also send a jott to an individual or a group of individuals. On the right use the create a contact or create a group option and name them. Now when you dial the number and it asks who you are calling give it the name of the contact or group.
It will also work with a long list of third party web applications and anything that has an email address you can send things to.
A good example would be evernote. It is not on the list but you can create a contact with the email address they give you for your account. You would call 866-568-8123 and state the contact name you gave that phone number. I gave mine the name evernote. It will confirm which contact you are trying to send something to and then beep. After the beep you will have 30 seconds to record the message. Then it would send out an email to evernote and you would see it under the first notebook. A SMS text message would then be sent to your phone.
These are a few of those sites jott can use directly. The rest can be found at
the Jott website.
